This cream is made with an oil base emuslified with a hydrosol. The oil base is built on the foundation of wild & ethically harvested Chaga from Birch trees found here in Alaska. The technique used to extract the consitiuents found within this woody mushroom is ancient. The prepartion is called a thaliam. Which is a technique employed within the teachings of the Vedas, from the practice of Ayurveda. This thailam concentrates Chaga that is slowly decocted in snow melt over a period of two days, a cellular extraction, into the golden, rich, and fortfying oils of Camelina. This highly packed antioxident forest ally not only imparts its world reknowned adaptogenic qualities, but also its deep and earthy caramel like scent. Alongside Chaga this unique formulation contains Fireweed Leaves harvested before flowering and lightly fermented then dried. The fermentation action activates the Vitamins, particularly B, that are naturally occuring in this land regenerating species. Dandelion Root infused in Sea Buckthorn Oil is supportive of skin balance, revitalizing tired, dry, or winter worn skin, into fresh, plump, and youthful feeling flesh. Calendula flowers and they’re solar blooms & memories help heal skin, gently move lymph and soothe ruddy complexions. Winter Moon comforts the needs of winter skin, and provides serious nourishment inspired by the dark & lunar time of year.
The liquid portion of this cream is made with Sweetgrass Spirit Waters, also known as a hydrosol. With an aroma of sweet summer breezes of honey and vanilla, and the moisturizing, calming, and relaxing benefits when applied to skin, these spirit waters carries us to a peaceful scene by a wild brook in a northern meadow. Rounding off the benefits of the cream is the Sitka Blacktail Deer Tallow providing deep replenishing nourishment to truly feed our cells and aid in the absorption of the plant based medicinal constiuents.
This cream is quite the work of art, truly a full turn of the wheel, seasonal, bounty.
